They just posted earnings and it was one of those quarters that sounds made up. Revenue more than quadrupled from last year. They made more money in three months than they used to make in a year. Customers are so desperate for chips they're putting down billions just to secure supply for years ahead. Then the stock ran up to a record high and promptly lost five percent the next day. Because of course it did.
Part of me thinks this is a once in a lifetime thing. The supply is tight, the demand is real, they signed some huge deals that lock in revenue for years. The CEO is out there saying memory isn't a commodity anymore, it's a strategic asset, and maybe that's true.
This is one of those cases where the numbers are unbelievable and the price still seems to be pricing in a lot of perfection. Am I holding a generational winner or something that's already seen the peak?
