A few weeks ago I put about $1k into Sabre as a complete shot in the dark. Not because I think it’s some amazing company right now, but more because the stock feels so beaten down that I figured maybe there’s a chance it eventually rebounds hard if travel demand stays strong and they somehow fix the balance sheet.
I know the debt is ugly and profitability is still questionable, so this definitely isn’t one of my “safe” investments. It’s basically a low-conviction gamble that maybe one day the market suddenly decides Sabre is worth way more than it is now.
Anyone else holding this thing as a speculative play? And realistically, what do you guys think the odds are of this turning into an actually good return vs just dead money for years?
