Been looking at JPM as more of a “sleep-at-night” bank stock and the dividend is a big part of the appeal. How dependable is their payout really? Do they have a solid history of maintaining/increasing dividends through downturns, and what’s the current yield looking like compared to other big banks?
Trying to figure out if this is actually a steady income play or if the payout could get cut if credit losses or the economy turn south. Anyone here holding mainly for the dividend?
