Thread regarding Qualcomm (QCOM)

Will diversification pay off?

Qualcomm has been going through a rough patch, or more accurately, a couple of tough years. The strained relationship between the US and China has already had a negative impact, given QCOM’s significant exposure to China. On top of that, Apple's now having in-house chips is another major blow. The stock is currently trading at a relatively low valuation. I’m considering buying, mainly because Qualcomm has made efforts to diversify. Now I’m wondering, is the company positioned for a turnaround?
