Thread regarding Moderna Therapeutics (MRNA) stock

Hantavirus gave it a pulse, but I'm still lost

Moderna's been all over the place. The stock was sliding hard until early May, then suddenly jumped 10% on hantavirus vaccine hopes because of a ship outbreak. Another day it rose on flu shot data and a buyback program. The latest earnings beat expectations but still showed a massive loss. Sales surged internationally, yet US revenue was only seventy-eight million while the net loss hit one point three billion. The FDA decision on their flu vaccine is set for August, which feels like the only real thing to wait for. I bought into the mRNA platform story, but watching these random spikes on virus headlines while the company burns cash makes it really hard to know what I'm actually holding.
