Such claims sound a bit iffy to me. A lot of components for medical devices, as well as chemicals, are being imported from China and other countries. J&J estimates tariffs could result in about $400 million in extra costs, but it also raised its sales outlook. I’m having trouble discerning the real impact of the trade war from companies trying to present a rosy image with the aim to preserve valuation.
